CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)

This treatment can assist you to gain awareness of your feelings, thoughts, and beliefs. You will be able to challenge and reframe them so that you can respond in a more effective way. It breaks the constraints of negativity and allows you freedom to choose how to live your life.

DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy)

Its roots are based in CBT, however it has been enhanced to help people who experience intense emotions. The focus is on learning strategies to help with emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal communication. It allows you to identify unhelpful behaviors, gain acceptance around aspects of your life that you have little control over and to implement positive change.

Exposure Therapy

This involves controlled gradual exposure to a situation, activity, or object that activates distress, anxiety, or fear. This is used to treat phobias, anxiety, OCD & PTSD.

Expressive Arts Therapy

In this modality alternative forms of creativity are used to express yourself. This may include drawing, painting, photography, sculpting, drama, music, poetry, and movement.

IFS (Internal Family Systems Informed)

This approach views every person as a system of parts. When we experience negative events, we develop protective and wounded parts that need to be healed. It is a transformative approach that promotes self-leadership for a brighter, stronger future.

NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming)

We all have internal maps of the world that we learn through sensory experiences. NLP helps you to identify and challenge emotional reasons that drive behavior. Simply put, it’s about thoughts, words and actions. Its focus is on the language that we use that keeps us imprisoned and prevents us from fulfilling our true potential. It is used to treat phobias, anxiety, depression & PTSD.

Solution-Focused Informed Therapy

This is a goal directed therapy that helps facilitate change by exploring solutions rather than focusing on problems.

Somatic Therapy

The focus here is on how emotions appear within the body, whether it be anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or chronic pain. Learning strategies to understand and release these emotions can positively impact your mental and physical health.

Strength & Empowerment-Based Approaches

These focus on exploring your strengths and building on your resources. We are all experts of our own life and you are encouraged to share your story and use the wisdom of your own experiences to guide you to a more fulfilling life. Embrace the survivor within!
